Christmas Tree Charcuterie Board
Ingredients:
- Rosemary Sprigs
- Pepperoni
- Grapes
- Cheddar Cheese
- Colby Cheese
- Swiss Cheese
- White Cheddar
- Crackers
- Star Cookie Cutter
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Cheeses:
- Begin by slicing the various cheeses into small squares. Make sure to vary the colors and textures to create an appealing visual contrast on your charcuterie board.
2. Create Pepperoni Flowers:
- To make pepperoni flowers, take 3-4 pieces of pepperoni and lay them next to each other, slightly overlapping.
- Fold the pepperoni pieces in half lengthwise, creating two “hills” and a flat bottom.
- Starting from one end, roll the pepperoni tightly. You’ll end up with a beautiful pepperoni flower. Repeat this process to make multiple pepperoni flowers.
3. Fashion a Cheese Star:
- Using the star-shaped cookie cutter, press it into a slice of cheddar cheese to create a star for the top of your Christmas tree. Set this aside for later.
4. Assemble the Christmas Tree Charcuterie Board:
- Select a large platter or serving board to create your charcuterie Christmas tree.
- Begin by placing the different cheeses on the board. You can arrange them in layers, starting with the largest pieces at the bottom and gradually getting smaller as you move upwards to mimic the shape of a tree.
5. Add the Pepperoni Flowers:
- Position the pepperoni flowers between the layers of cheese, making them resemble the ornaments on your Christmas tree. You can place them evenly throughout the board, with some closer to the base and others near the top.
6. Lay Out the Star and Garland:
- Place the cheddar cheese star at the very top of your “tree” to symbolize the tree topper.
- If you’d like, you can use rosemary sprigs to create a garland effect by arranging them in a zigzag pattern across the layers of cheese and pepperoni.
- Add grapes as well.
7. Complete with Crackers:
- Surround your cheese and pepperoni tree with an assortment of crackers. These will serve as the tree trunk and provide a delicious base for your charcuterie offerings.
8. Enjoy and Share:
- Your Christmas tree charcuterie board is now complete! Set it out for your guests to admire and enjoy. Don’t forget to provide cheese knives and utensils for easy serving.
