You won’t believe how easy it is to make chicken Parmesan with marinara sauce. This delicious recipe only requires 5 steps and 6 ingredients. You can prepare it in under 5 minutes if you already have marinara sauce handy. When I’m strapped for time, I use pre-made sauce, but if you have extra time, go ahead and make marinara from scratch.
Aside from being delicious and easy to make, this baked chicken Parmesan is high on protein. If you want to make sure it’s low carb or Keto-friendly, the marinara sauce needs to be sugar-free.

Easy Chicken Parmesan With Marinara Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Prepare a 9×13 baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
- Season chicken breast with garlic and Italian seasonings.
- Pour marinara over chicken.
- Top with parmesan and mozzarella.
- Bake for 30 to 45 minutes (depending on the thickness of the chicken breast) or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees. If the cheese begins to brown too quickly, tent the casserole dish with aluminum foil and continue to bake until done.
If you’re not counting carbs, you can serve this baked chicken Parm with a side of pasta. If trying to keep it extra healthy, serve with spaghetti squash.
