My family loves a good spinach and artichoke dip, especially when everybody’s watching a sports game. I never seem to make enough! This dip is a great appetizer when you have company over or whenever you’re planning a party.

Looking for a great appetizer to watch your favorite sports game? This is the easiest (and most delicious!) spinach and artichoke dip recipe. Try it!Since the Big Game is quickly approaching, I wanted to share with you the easiest (and most delicious) spinach and artichoke dip recipe. That way you can enjoy it with your own family. I’d love to know if everybody loves it as much as we do!

This recipe’s main ingredients are rich in iron and calcium, so this dip is a great way to sneak in extra nutrients.

Spinach and artichoke dip recipe

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz. cream cheese, well softened
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 2/3 cup (76g) parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup (56g) mozzarella cheese
  • 1 (14 oz) can artichoke hearts
  • 5 lbs fresh spinach
  • Pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  • Wash/rinse spinach, but do not dry. Add the wet spinach to a stock pot and turn on medium/low heat.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Spray a small baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
  • In a mixing bowl stir together softened cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, minced garlic, parmesan, mozzarella, and pepper (if you want to add some).
  • By now your spinach should be cooked (approx. 5-7 minutes after turning on the heat). Take it out of the pot and squeeze out as much excess liquid as you can.
  • Chop the drained spinach.
  • Drain and chop the artichoke hearts.
  • Stir artichokes and spinach into the cheese mixture.
  • Spread mixture evenly into prepared baking dish. Bake for approximately 25-30 minutes.
  • Serve warm with tortilla chips, crackers, pita bread or toasted baguette slices.
