Honestly, this chocolate mug cake is so easy to make that it can be addictive. You might be surprised by the ingredients, but trust me on this one. Everything comes together in a delectable way. If you prefer a different sweetener, feel free to swap it for the monk fruit. Just keep in mind that if you do want this dessert to be low carb, you should not use sugar.

If you want to make this dessert for more than one serving, simply multiply the ingredients by the amount of jars, mugs or servings. I do recommend only placing one jar or mug in the microwave at at time for best results. Even if it might be a bit cumbersome, that way you know it will come out perfectly delicious and cooked!

Decadent Low Carb Chocolate Mug Cake

2 tablespoon almond flour 1 tablespoon cocoa powder 1 tablespoon monk fruit ¼ teaspoon baking powder 1 tablespoon mayonnaise 1 large egg 1 teaspoon water

Serves 1

Prep time: 3 minutes

Cooking time: 1 minute

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon almond flour
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon monk fruit
  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon water
  • 2 tablespoon almond flour
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon monk fruit
  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon water

Instructions
1. Place the dry ingredients into a microwave safe mug or jar. Use a fork to blend.
2. Add the mayonnaise, egg, and water, stirring to blend thoroughly.
3. Allow the batter to rest for 2 minutes.
4. Microwave for 50 seconds.
5. Serve with sugar-free chocolate syrup, sugar-free caramel syrup, whipped topping,
and/or chopped nuts.

You may also whip heavy whipping cream and use as a topping. Add in a no calorie sweetener if you need it while whipping for best results and to keep it low carb. Obviously, if you are not watching carbs, you can substitute the monk fruit or artificial sweetener for sugar. It will change the amount of calories and carb count, though.
