Ingredients

2 apples (I used Honeycrisp)

1 sheet puff pastry dough

1/3 cup honey

1 tsp apple pie seasoning

1 egg (egg wash)

Optional: powdered sugar or cinnamon for dusting

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350 F or 176 C.

Core your apples

Cut your apples in half.

Cut those halves in half so now you have quarters. Make small, thin slices of apple from the quarters.

Unroll the sheet of puff pastry and cut into 4 equal pieces. For best results, do this on a lightly floured surface.

On the parchment lined baking sheet, add about a tablespoon of honey to one section

Add slices of apples on top (half of an apple to each section)

Drizzle with honey

Sprinkle with apple pie spice

Cover with puff pastry sheet

Crimp the ends with a fork

Brush the unbaked tart with egg wash (use an egg yolk mixed with one teaspoon of honey)

Bake for 20-25 mins or until dark golden brown

Remove and let sit 3-4 mins.
