Use your favorite challah recipe to make the dough. You can use mine and add more honey for a sweeter dough for a sweet new year. After the second leavening, you are ready to make your round challah using the easiest technique ever!

MAKE YOUR CHALLAH DOUGH

Step 1.

Separate the dough into 4 balls. Then roll them into long strands. If you feel each ball of dough is too dry, wet your hands before rolling each strand.

Step 2.

For this easy round challah, I simply use two strands for each bread and do a simple twist.

Step 3.

Then, take the twisted strands and roll them inwards to form a circle shape. I tuck the end underneath and pinch it a bit.

Step 4.

Place braided loaves on a greased cookie sheet or baking pan; line the pan with parchment paper. Brush egg wash on the loaves and bake according to recipe.
