– ½ cup granulated sugar – 1/3 cup unsweetened dark cocoa powder – 3 tablespoons corn starch – 2 cups milk – 1-2 teaspoons vanilla extract – 1 tablespoon butter

Step 1.

Combine all ingredients except butter in a large microwaveable bowl. Microwave for 2 minutes, and then stir. Continue microwaving for 1-2 min until  pudding has thickened. 

Step 2.

Add in the butter and stir to allow the butter to melt.

Step 3.

Pour the pudding into bowls, mason jars, or dessert dishes for serving. Refrigerate for 2 hours to serve cold, or let chill in the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes to serve warm.
