baking sheet
parchment paper
small bowl
- 1 sheet puff pastry
- 8 oz brie wheel
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tablespoon water
Preheat the oven to 425 F. Line a baking tray with parchment paper and set aside.
Make an egg wash by mixing one egg yolk with one tablespoon of water in a small bowl. Set aside.
If you have a bigger cheese wheel, roll the puff pastry out to ensure it is wide enough to fold over and fully cover the brie.
Put the puff pastry sheet on the tray lined with parchment paper. Place the brie wheel in the center of the puff pastry and drizzle two tablespoons of honey on top.
Grab all corners of puff pastry and twist into a knot. Lightly push the knot together and brush the top with egg wash. It will help keep the pastry together.
Bake for about 25 minutes until it is nicely browned.
Serve fresh as an appetizer on its own or on a platter with fresh apple slices, grapes, and crackers. Enjoy!
