Get Back on a Healthier Path

With This Free Fitness and Food Tracker

If you feel that these past few months you’ve strayed from the healthy path, a food and fitness tracker can help you make better choices.

We have all seen people who have been very disciplined during the pandemic, and I applaud them, but the reality is that for many of us, it has been harder to be active or anxiety has led to stress eating. Instead of getting angry at yourself, it’s time to get back on track and simply start making small changes.

6 TIPS TO MAKE HEALTHIER FOOD AND FITNESS CHOICES

1. Write everything down. Keep track of what you’re eating and drinking. It might surprise you! Also, make a note of your physical activity. 2. Craving a snack? Drink a glass of water. You might be mistaking hunger for thirst.

3. Start small. If you haven’t been active these past few months, set an achievable daily goal, like 10-15 minutes a day of physical activity. Or commit to reducing the amount of added sugar in your coffee, tea or snacks. 4. Keep healthier foods within easy reach. I used to do this for my kids, but now I do it for myself. I wash fruits and veggies and store them in resealable bags in the fridge so I can easily grab a portion when I want a snack.

5. Replace negativity with a sense of achievement. Instead of berating yourself for poor choices you have made, replace those negative feelings with more constructive and positive ones by actually doing something for your health. Celebrate that you are drinking more water, walking or making healthier choices.  6. Think health, not numbers. For me, eating better and being more active is more about feeling healthy than the number on the scale or the size of the jeans I’m wearing. I feel this is a much better and less frustrating approach.
