Let’s end polio

Although levels of polio are at an all-time low, with only 145 new cases reported this year, it remains a threat, especially for three polio-endemic countries: Nigeria, Afghanistan and Pakistan. That’s why I am joining [email protected]  to help vaccinate 40,000 children by raising $40,000.

Why do I care? Polio anywhere remains a threat for children everywhere. As a parent, it is painful to know that polio could be eradicated but it hasn’t been. Right now it costs less than $1 to vaccinate a child against polio. Could you imagine if we could get 50 friends to donate a dollar each? That means we could help 50 children live without suffering the consequences of polio.

I have seen the work of [email protected], which is a part of the UN Foundation, and I collaborated with them during Blogust, when we managed to save the lives of over 10,000 children simply by commenting on posts. In September, during the Social Good Summit in New York, I also saw their dedication to help save even more kids. Please join me. We can do more and we can end polio. Together.
