Back to school is a very chaotic time for parents as it involves organized with schedules, buy school supplies and make sure our children have everything they need for school. Sometimes it seems that neither time nor money will reach us, which overwhelms us even more.
3 tips to save money and time during back to school shopping
Don’t panic! When it’s time to do all of our back to school shopping, I apply everything I’ve learned over the years. Hopefully these simple tips will help you, too!
- Lists are your best friends. Make a list of everything you need for each child, then make an inventory of what you already have at home, check off those items, and then do your final shopping list. Have your lists with you always; write them down as notes on your mobile phone or simply take a photo with smartphone if your lists are handwritten.
- Have your child try on everything! Sizes vary by store and brand, so it is best to have your kid try on clothes and shoes to make sure everything fits well. Later you will realize how much time you save by not having to go back to the store to return your purchases. Another option is to buy online and try on everything at home; it’s convenient but will require more time. If you’re making purchases three days before classes start, you are better off just shopping at a store and not risking any delivery delays.
- Check out all the deals and plan your shopping. At Target you can find uniforms, supplies, snacks and lunch boxes for children. During the second and third week of August, there will be many special offers at their stores. For example, you will receive a $5 Target gift card for every $ 25 you spend on back to school items. In addition there will be a 30 percent off discount on uniforms.
